Squatch World is a parallel reality to our world here on Earth and is only about a quarter of the size of our planet as we know it. It is entered through a portal or doorway which is located in the forest or whichever terrain the Squatch is living in on that particular continent or island. These can vary as Squatches have been reportedly seen in many locations all around the world.
Only the Squatches know where their portals are.
They can move freely between their world and ours by merely walking through their portal. Once the Squatches return from the Earthly realm into Squatch World colors change and become more ethereal, vibrant and full of light. Plants, trees, and water are somehow animated yet eerily similar to planet Earth. It is a fantastic place of lush meadows, magnificent cascading waterfalls, gigantic trees of various colors, each vibrating with the energy of life.
They are a gentle race of beings that have co-existed with Humans on planet Earth for over 150,000 years. They are a type of people who have a culture and are a lot like you and I. They have families and friends. They work, they play, and find meaning in life by being participants in this world they are a part of. They are so shy on the Earth plane when amongst us, they make themselves invisible or stand very still so as not to draw any attention to themselves. They are masters of camouflage. On occasion, they forget to make themselves invisible and are seen by humans. That is when some very interesting things can happen.
Many believe Squatches to be purely folklore; others think they are real. I am of the opinion they do exist, and they are real.
Most are very large in stature, 6-10 feet tall, though there are some quite a bit smaller in other regions of the world. They are a bipedal race of people covered in thick hair of varying colors. Usually brown, reddish or white, depending on what part of the world they are from. Large luminous eyes set in broad facial features. Their feet are immensely long and wide, yet they walk gracefully in large strides with long arm swings.
Earth has medicinal herbs, such as chamomile, ginger and willow bark to name a few, which do not grow well in their realm so by necessity they visit from time to time to collect them. They are also rock collecting enthusiasts, and the Earth realm has a fantastic variety of stones and gems found in numerous locations all around the planet.
Another reason may be that they are merely fascinated with humans and are curious about our lives, our culture and how we live.
They live in parallel realities on every continent, every state, and every island in the world and each has its unique terrain and beauty. Their stays are typically brief here on Earth, but for overnight stays, they usually build temporary shelters made of tree limbs, grass, and leaves.
In the Earthly realm, they wear no clothing preferring to go Au Natural instead. In Squatch World they love to dress up. They have been steadily collecting clothing and costumes from humans of all time periods all around the world for thousands of years. They have outfits ranging from gladiators and Egyptian royalty to modern day athletes and movie stars. They house them in huge caves called CavaCatas (Squatch for Cave of Costumes), full of lights and mirrors where they can borrow and exchange any number of outfits with each other 365 days a year. Each Cavacata is overseen by the local village's historian who shares invaluable, albeit sometimes quirky information about each outfit or costume. Each trip there is like a trip back through time and is one of the most revered parts of Squatch World making it not only tremendously fun to visit but educational as well.
They are living breathing creatures just like you and me. They are indigenous beings in a unique and lively world that are as close to you and me as the noses on our faces. Even though you may not have seen one yet, it doesn't mean they don't exist.
Squatches are real; please treat them with the kindness and respect all living things deserve. They want to be your friend. If you treat them with love you will find you have a made a friend forever.
They live in unique cave homes that are quite stylized, energy efficient, yet simple. Each reflects the individual style of the family living within. Instead of beds, They sleep in huge nests made of grass, leaves, and feathers. Outdoor clay ovens for baking and cooking are present in most homes. No two dwellings are exactly alike.
Squatches are very family oriented and are fiercely protective of their young. They take care of their elderly and one another. Each family is a Clan. Clans range in size from 1-3 youth, with typically one to two parents. Clans also include aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandparents. Squatches around the world, which identify the location from where the Squatch are from, are called Tribes. There are the: Big Foot Tribe near the Pacific Northwest portal which also consists of most of North America, Yeti Tribe near the Himalayan portals, The Yeren Tribe near the China portals, Yowie Tribe near the Australian portals, and the somewhat smelly Skunk Ape Tribe near the Florida portal. There is also the Menehune Tribe, the smallest of all the Squatches, only about 18 inches tall, near the Hawaiian island portals and the Rasta tribe near the Jamaican Portals. A few other such Tribes exist as well in other parts of the world.
Squatches are very social beings. They easily make friends with each other, on a rare occasion with an Earthling, sometimes even space beings.
They love their animal friends such as moose, baby bears and kittens and the brightly feathered Woodnucks. Last but not least, their loyal Squatch Dogs who are loved by most Squatches all around the world.
Most clans have their cave homes organized around a central village square. Their cave homes are on opposite facing hillsides, with the town village in the small valley down below and in between them. Everyone works together for the mutual good of the entire community with communal gardens in abundance, fishing, and so much more.
Most villages gather together in the late afternoons to share a community meal where everyone contributes a dish of their own.
Evenings follow with the uplifting sound of the enormous, majestic drums belting out stories of their past. Song and dance and other instrumentation play as well, but the music always begins and ends with the heartbeat of the great Squatch World drums.
Yes, they teach classes in Life Skills, Responsible use of one's powers (they are magically gifted), Sports, music, drama, and dance.
